Rethinking the future – with CLARITY+ at the core
We need to think differently – and CLARITY+ is part of the future.
Forenede Service is a Danish, family-owned group with a 65-year history. The company employs more than 11,000 people representing 85 nationalities and delivers cleaning, property services, and canteen operations across Denmark.
One of the group’s most experienced employees is Laila Rasmussen. With 21 years of experience, she now works as a service manager responsible for approximately 60 cleaning assistants. Under her leadership, Forenede Service provides cleaning services at schools and childcare institutions in the Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality.
Since Easter 2024, Laila Rasmussen and her team have been testing CLAIRITY+ as a cleaning product in five municipal daycare centers.
“The results have been very positive. Managers at the daycare centers say they can feel a clear improvement in air quality. Some even report lower sickness absence. Both aspects – and especially the latter – are extremely interesting in a broader perspective.”
Enthusiastic About Cleaner Air
Laila Rasmussen is in no doubt:
“With results this convincing, we could easily roll out CLAIRITY+ to more institutions right away. I’ve spoken with the union representatives for the educators, and they are genuinely enthusiastic about the preliminary results.”
The biggest challenge for the cleaning staff has been precise dosing. Overdosing can cause floors to become sticky. According to Rasmussen, language barriers and long-standing habits of less precise dosing were the main hurdles – and they have now been overcome.
“We use CLAIRITY+ for daily floor cleaning in daycare centers and once a week in classrooms at public schools. It’s just as easy to use as traditional cleaning products – only the dosing requires a bit of extra attention.”
Staff at the institutions using CLAIRITY+ also report that floors not only bind more dust but also look cleaner and more attractive. During the test period, CLAIRITY+ was used on all types of flooring – tiles, linoleum, and concrete – and performed well on every surface.
From Pilot Test to Large-Scale Implementation
“CLAIRITY+ is slightly more expensive to purchase than conventional cleaning agents. However, in daily operations, the total cost is the same. We’ve had an excellent collaboration with aks2tal and with Thea Bech-Petersen, the municipality’s project manager during the test period. Michael from aks2tal helped us get started at each institution and fine-tuned the dosing to match each floor type,” says Laila Rasmussen.
She is convinced that the cleaning industry is facing a new era with stricter requirements from both public and private clients:
“The cleaning industry is somewhat conservative by nature. We tend to do things the way we always have. This applies to the industry as a whole and to individual cleaners, many of whom prefer products with strong fragrances. But we need to think ahead. More and more customers will demand environmentally friendly cleaning solutions. If a product can also improve indoor air quality and reduce sickness absence, that’s a major added value.”
